MIXER TROUGH AND END PLATES:

  • ¼” trough with ¼” abrasion resistant liner skip welded in place.
  • 1/4” carbon steel end plates.
  • 24” diameter x 72" long (inside mixing chamber dimensions).

AGITATOR:

  • 2-3/16” diameter solid carbon steel mainshaft.
  • Bolted cast ductile iron arms drilled both sides with caps.
  • Bolted and adjustable 3/16” thick carbon steel paddle blades.
  • Blade clearance set at 0.030” from the bottom centerline of the trough.
  • Multi-stage forward/back mix configuration.

MAINSHAFT BEARINGS:

  • 2-3/16” diameter Seal master pillow block mainshaft ball bearings.
  • Carbon steel bearing plates and gussets.
  • Lifting points.

MAINSHAFT SEALS:

  • Marion Style “E” 2-3/16” diameter adjustable stuffing box mainshaft seals.
  • Air-purge provision.
  • Assembly equipped with 1/8” NPT threaded connection.
  • Each seal must be regulated with 3-6 psi of clean filtered air at each seal assembly (by customer).
  • UHMW machined components with TFE/Synthetic packing.
  • Shaft run-out, in the seal area, not to exceed 0.005”

CLEAN-OUT DISCHARGE PORT:

  • 4" diameter discharge tube and flange.
  • Bottom center discharge position on upstream side of weir plate.
  • 4" diameter butterfly discharge valve.
  • Lever-actuated handle.
  • Outlet guard.
  • Discharge weir located 12” from end opposite drive, 12” x 24” discharge chute; bottom center discharge position

COVER:

  • 12-ga. carbon steel bolted and gasketed cover.
  • Two (2)  access doors hinged parallel to mainshaft.
  • Safety grate under access door at drive end.
  • Redundant safety limit switches actuated by grate removal and end opposite drive access door.
  • Toggle clamps on access doors.
  • One (1) 8” flanged sand inlet.

 

STRUCTURAL LEGS:

  • Welded structural angle leg design
  • 24" clearance between discharge outlet and floor

BLENDER DRIVE:

  • SEW-Eurodrive Model FA77GDV132M4 shaft-mounted gear-motor drive
  • 10-Hp TEFC inverter duty motor, 3P, 60Hz, 460-V
  • Class I at 51-rpm output; 1.40 SF
  • Reducer filled with SAE80W-90 gear oi
  • Right hand drive arrangement

 

MIXER SYSTEM AND CONTROLS

  • NEMA 4 Control panel
  • 3hp, 460V, 3P VFD (Screw conveyor)
  • 10hp, 460V, 3P VFD (Mixer)
  • 3/4hp, 460V, 3P VFD (Pumping unit)
  • Panel mount keypad interface for each variable frequency drive (Screw, Mixer and Pump)
  • Panel Mounted PLC/OCS, programmed, with on screen color display for mixer, color pump system and customer supplied screw conveyor
  • Low voltage control transformer, 115V output with circuit breakers
  • Emergency stop button
  • Mounted to Mixer, complete with seal-tight conduit and test run
  • Hard-wire grounding of all motors to common ground connection in panel

 

BLENDER MATERIAL & FINISH:

  • Mixer and mainshaft bearings painted with one coat primer and one top coat Marion Mixer Process Blue Enamel
  • Drive and motor with standard factory paint finish.

COLOR METERING SYSTEM
Color-injection metering system and liquid addition manifold, integrally mounted to mixer; one (1) SP-15 peristaltic pump; 3/4 hp TEFC gearmotor (28 rpm) with 3/4 hp variable frequency drive, including remote-mounted key pad interface; including all required piping and valving; one (1) ¾” dia. x 38” long 304SS pickup wand, with ¾” dia. flexible tubing; pumping unit mounted to stiffener plate between legs, guard over Lovejoy couplings; rubber gaskets fitted over wand

  • Internal product contact surfaces polished to #120-grit finish.
  • External carbon steel support components (bearing plates, gussets, torque-arm bracket and structural legs) and mainshaft bearings painted with one coat primer and one topcoat Machinery White Enamel.
  • Drive and motor with standard factory paint finish.
